These Terms govern your use of Overlap. By downloading, installing, or using Overlap, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use Overlap.

2. License

Overlap is free to download and try; full functionality requires a paid license. When you purchase, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Overlap on Macs you own or control. The license is a one-time purchase — it is not a subscription — and includes the updates we choose to provide.

3. Your license key

Your license key is personal to you. Don’t share, resell, or publish it. We may revoke keys that are shared, charged back, or obtained fraudulently.

4. Acceptable use

You may only analyze messages and data you are authorized to access on a device you control, and you are responsible for complying with applicable laws — including privacy laws — regarding the conversations you choose to analyze. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, redistribute, resell, sublicense, or circumvent the app’s licensing, or use Overlap for any unlawful purpose.

5. Insights are for personal interest only

Overlap’s reports, personality readings, and AI insights are generated automatically for personal interest and entertainment. They are not professional, psychological, or relationship advice, and may be inaccurate.

6. Intellectual property

Overlap, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by Magnetism Studios and protected by intellectual property laws.

7. Payments

Overlap is sold by Paddle.com as the Merchant of Record. The price is $10 USD, a one-time charge, plus any applicable taxes shown at checkout. We may change prices going forward; changes do not affect licenses already purchased.

8. Refunds

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

Overlap is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that its insights will be accurate.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Magnetism Studios will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to Overlap will not exceed the amount you paid for the app.

11. Termination

This license terminates automatically if you breach these Terms. On termination you must stop using Overlap. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property and limitation of liability) will remain in effect.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
